If you guys are anything like me, you stress out about finding the perfect gift for everyone in your life.
I love to put a spin on an inside joke or bring back a happy memory through the gift and watch that person’s face light up with joy. I have so many fun gifts planned for my family already and today I’m going to share with you how you can bring on the nostalgia this holiday season. Below I’ve listed some of the most whimsical gifts of the season that will make anyone smile.
Bubble Light Set
If you didn’t have a Bubble Light night light growing up this is your chance to enjoy all the magic! Maybe I’m overselling it, but I love the glow and watching the bubbles dance around inside the glass.
Little House on the Prairie
Take your friends and family back to a simpler time this holiday season with this timeless classic. Stream all 10 seasons on Amazon Prime.
Chia Pet
Ch-Ch-Ch-CHIA! Give this classic gift with a Marvel modern twist to all of your plant lovers or first-time plant parents.
Lite Brite
Today’s kids will never know the fun of creating a photo out of lights, but you, my friend can change that.
Betty Crocker’s Lost Recipes
Not only does this cookbook walk you through the evolution of food through the decades, it actually has a collection of comfort foods for every occasion and every skill set. Gift this to those who live in their kitchen.
Victrola Turntable
A modern take on the classic Victrola- you play vinyl at your dinner party for all of the nostalgia feels or stream music through Bluetooth at your next dance party. The possibilities are endless.
The Little Golden Book
Another timeless treasure that today’s kids will never know. If you haven’t heard of the pokey little puppy, you’re missing out.
Ceramic Holiday Tree
My family had a light-up holiday tree just like this when I was growing up and it is one of my all-time favorite decorations. This little tree is so timeless that it has survived for almost five decades and loved by so many.
Original Nintendo Inspired Coasters
Sad day for those who never got their hands on an original Nintendo. It was a simpler time- 2D graphics, only four buttons on the controller, and there were only like two characters really rocking the Nintendo universe. Classic Mario can live on through these whimsical coasters.
BONUS: Stocking Stuffers
Here are a few classics that are a little fancier than that new toothbrush you were going to put in your child’s stocking. I’ve always felt that the infamous leg lamp is way bigger than the movie and Glo Worm gets a second chance as it takes on the tiny toy movement. According to the description it “actually works.” Last but not least, the Slinky. Let the kids take a break from their tablets and introduce them to the endless hours of fun that is Slinky. Don’t worry, you won’t need to charge it while you sleep.
Pro tip: don’t fall down the stairs.
